Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), ministry of rali wali affairs has clarified that the ministry has not issued “any signed extortion slips till date”. It may be noted that a release by PRO HQ IGAR (North) has informed that two FGN members were apprehended on September 14 at Ward no. 8 Chumukedima, Dimapur with “extortion” slips of FGN.
In press note, FGN, ministry of rali wali affairs while reacting to news item published under the heading, “41 AR apprehends two” in this daily, has clarified that the FGN or the chaplee ministry does not and has never issued any signed extortion slips till date.
FGN has further expressed concern that few Nagas have started conniving and collaborating with the occupational Indian armed forces to arrest national workers under false allegations. FGN cautioned that those “who connive and collaborate with the enemy” are known by the term, “traitors” in history. It also stated that the Indian armed forces should cease trying to divide the Nagas and Nagas should not “start practicing alien cultures” which was detrimental to the Naga cause.
