Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Chathe Bridge and the public leaders of Niuland, Ato, Kuhuboto, Rengmapani and Ralan areas have served an ultimatum on the PWD (R&B) to clarify within two weeks why the construction of RCC Girder Bridge over Chathe river has been delayed even after the official notice to M/s Nagami-tech to proceed with work dated June 14, 2016 by the chief engineer PWD (NH). In a press release, Naga united village council secretary, K.L Lokho, stated that this was resolved at a general meeting at Old Showuba on July 17, 2017. The house also unanimously resolved that a proper demarcation with physical verification of 1km on both sides of the bridge be carried out under the supervision of the district administration to restrict extraction of sand gravels and boulders.
