The commencement programme for Year of Construction workers 2017 for Mon district was held on July 17 at ITI, Mon.
According to DIPR report, deputy commissioner, Mon W. Honje Konyak said that Mon district had enough man power but the only thing needed was skill up gradation. He appreciated the nodal department for giving skill training which would be of great benefit for the trainees.
Honje, added that if district labour had skills then it would be sufficient for self employment and urged the trainers to give detailed training and impart skills and knowledge to the trainees.
Jt. director & convenor Monitoring & Evaluation YOCW, Lotum said that the training would be for self employment and to have a proper knowledge on construction.
Chairman Zynorique Initiative, Kohima, Richard Belho said that the training would cover fifteen topics within six days on construction and related matters and participants would be given assistant mason certificate after completion of the training.
The programme was chaired by principal, ITI, Mon Er. H.Alongse. The training is organised by Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurs, Government of Nagaland.
