Dist. review meeting important for improvement: Longon

Minister for Health & Family Welfare Nagaland, P. Longon has highlighted the importance of holding district review meeting and added that it should be conducted frequently so as to review the performances and lapses of the various health units in the state and make improvements.
He was speaking at district review meeting organised by department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland Kohima on June 15 at the directorate conference hall.
Speaking on the issue of transfer and posting of doctors, Longon urged all concerned doctors to gear up and be more responsible and comply with their assigned duties.
Longon further appealed all the medical officers and staffs in the districts to abstain from absenteeism and work together for the betterment of the department as a whole.
District wise presentations were given by all the 11 districts followed by the concluding remarks of the meeting by director (FW) DHFW, Dr. Meguosielie Kire.
The meeting was chaired by director & HoD, DHFW, Dr. Bendangyanger Jamir and the opening remarks with a brief slide show of the department’s reports presented by principal secretary, H&FW, Nagaland, Menukhol John.
Altogether 48 participants including Chief Medical Officers (CMOs), deputy CMOs, medical superintendents, district project managers of the various districts and officers from the directorate attended the meeting.
