Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (N) has been organising various programmes and assisting the villagers and public in various capacities across Nagaland.
5 AR: 5 Assam Rifles (AR) ‘F’ Rifles Chare Town conducted free medical camp for the students and staffs of Government Primary School Chare on June 5, at the School premises.
A team of a doctor, security guards was led by the Major. Altogether about 40 students were examined and treated and given free medicines.
Meanwhile, the team also conducted drawing conducted Drawing & Art competition for the students and the winners were awarded prizes. The in charge and teaching staff of the school expressed heartfelt gratitude to the team for their kind gesture.
32 AR: 32 Assam Rifles organised a drawing cum poster making competition on June 12, at Government Middle School, Zeliangrong colony, Dimapur under the theme “Drug Free Nagaland”. The aim behind the event was to spread awareness about ill effects of drug abuse.
Altogether, 25 students of various age groups showcased their creative and imaginative skills in depicting ill effects of drug abuse.
The event was followed by prize distribution and refreshment for the participants.
28 AR: Troops of 28 Assam Rifles organised an Interaction with the village GBs of Doyang Region at Bhandari on June 10. Altogether 23 GBs of neighbouring villages of Doyang region participated in the interaction. Important issues pertaining to development, education and skill development were discussed during the interaction.
36 AR: 22 students from Peren, coached by 36 Assam Rifles (AR), has successfully cleared the entrance exam conducted by the North Eastern Council which offered 100 vacancies for free education, boarding, messing and clothing for the children of BPL society, especially inhabitants of border areas, AR informed.
All the children got admission in Assam Rifles Public School, Dimapur Nagaland as of June 9, AR added.
