Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has sought clarification from the concerned department over the “abandoned” work of Doyang RCC Bridge at Liphanyan, saying that the construction work of the said bridge has been stopped for more than a year.
In a press note, LSU president Lipemo M Tsopoe and finance secretary Yanthanthung Yanthan informed that LSU officials along with Ralan Area Lotha Hoho and Ralan Area Students’ Union had a discussion on the issue during the former’s visit ot Liphanyan on June 7.
“It is very unfortunate to learn that in spite of press release and representation submitted by the RALH & RASU there has been no response from the concern contractor and authorities till date,” LSU stated in the press note.
In this regard, the union sought clarification at the earliest from the concerned authorities as to “why and how the work is abandoned” in order to avoid further inconvenience.
