Twenty four years old beauty from the Nagaland, Kaheli Chophy would be representing the state at the Femina Miss India contest to be held on June 25 at Mumbai which will be telecast on national TV channel Colors.
This was announced by Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN) member Melekhoto Pucho during a press conference which was also attended by Kaheli Chophy and BASN member Lau Toshi, held at Dream café Kohima on Friday. Chophy a post graduate in political science from St. Peter College, Shillong, said she busy with various assignments from Miss India organization and working hard on it. On query, she said her strength is prayer and working so hard with determination to reach the final day. Chophy said she would showcase the rich and beautiful cultures of the state and Nagas to outside people and appealed to support in her journey to competition and also in the multimedia pages like in Facebook and Instagram.
On query the support from the people and government, she shared that it was lacking from both and expressed her opinion that Naga society need to support the glamour profession of modelling & pageants so that Nagaland state can outshine in this field.
