Joint secretary to Govt of India (GoI), Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), K. Moses Chalai, arrived in Nagaland on May 8 to visit the various service centres established under the Department of Social Welfare.
On May 8 he visited the Sakhi: One Stop Centre (OSC) Dimapur which was the first centre established in the state to cater to victims affected by violence under one roof. He also visited Swadhar Greh, a home for women in distress and implemented by Prodigals Home, Chavara Home and Child Care Institute registered under the State Child protection Society as per JJ Act.
He is scheduled to visit the women helpline (181), orphanage home, Anganwadi Centres and Child Care Institute on May 9.
He would be conducting review meetings on ICDS, SCPS, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and State Resource Centre for Women (181 & OSC). He would also hold a meeting with the chief secretary to deliberate on the schemes initiated by Ministry of Women and Child Development.
