NNPGs and RH hold joint meeting

The ‘Working Group’ of the Naga National Political Groups held a joint meeting with the Rengma Hoho on Friday wherein both the sides deliberated on the prevailing socio-political situation faced by the inhabitants of Nagaland state, primarily taking into consideration the clear position and repeated stand of government of India and on the question of Naga integration, a press note jointly issued by GPRN/NSCN, NSCN (R), NNC (Parent Body), NNC/NPGN, NNC/GDRN and Rengma Hoho stated.
The NNPGs appreciated the Rengma Nagas for their unflinching support, contribution and active participation in the Naga movement. They said pioneers like Rusilo Rengma, signatory of 1929 Naga memorandum to British statutory commission for Naga self determination, would forever embody the spirit of Rengma people.
At the meeting the, the NNPGs and RH reaffirmed that “despite the practical political position of Nagas, Nagas are linked by blood and culture over a thousand years and therefore social and emotional integration must be pursued and maintained for future Naga generation to pursue their rightful place among the nations of the world.”
The house also deliberated on various issues concerning the Naga political solution and at the same time appreciated the positive step taken by the NNPGs.
