Notun Bosti Council Dimapur (NBCD) has informed all the dog owners of Notun Bosti to properly chain and control their pets.
A press note by NBCD chairman, E. Jon Ezung and secretary, Kavito Ayemi stated that the council had repeatedly warned in the past to the dog owners of the colony but they have failed to comply with the order of the council. NBCD has therefore directed the dog owners to control their pets from April 10 onwards. Failing which the council would be compelled to issue shot at sight order to those dogs loitering around the colony jurisdiction randomly.
NBCD while asking the citizens to take this matter seriously had also cautioned residents to throw the garbage at the designated colony dustbin. It also stated that defaulters throwing the garbage at the roadside or any other places around the colony jurisdiction would be sternly dealt with.
