Konyaks gear up for ‘Aoleang Monyu Festival’

Konyaks of Nagaland, Assam & Myanmar are all geared to observe the “Aoleang Monyu” starting from April 1 to 6, wherein the Konyak Union (KU) would be organizing three mega Aoleang Monyu programmes in Kohima, Mon and Dimapur. 
A press note by KU general secretary, Honang M. Konyak stated that in Kohima the event would be held at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama under the patronage of the Konyak Union Kohima (KUK) on April 1 at 11 a.m. with minster of PHED, Chotisuh Sazo as the chief guest and additional chief secretary & development commissioner R. B. Thong as guest of honour. 
In Mon town, the Apex Konyak Union (KU) would organize the festive programme on April 4, with chief minister Dr. Shurhozelie Lizietsu as chief guest. 
The apex Konyak Union (KU) is also geared up for the inauguration of its new office building in the presence of the chief minister of Nagaland.
In Dimapur, under the patronage of the Konyak Union Dimapur & Chumukiedima, the Konyaks of the Dimapur District would be organizing its Aoleang Monyu celebration programme on April 4 at the DDSC stadium at 11 a.m. with minister of RD & REPA, C. L. John as the chief guest and parliamentary secretary of Economics & Statistics, Tovihoto Ayemi as guest of honour. 
KU also appealed the state government to consider special leave for all Konyak employees on account of Aoleang Monyu.
