On receipt of information, Dimapur police recovered the dead body of an unidentified Naga male, aged between 25-30 years, near DC’s office Dimapur on Tuesday morning.
The body bore marks of some blunt objects on the head and face, police said. However, till late evening, police were unable to identify the victim since there were no ID card/documents for identification while there has not been any missing complaint filed in any of the police stations, police said.
Police were ascertaining whether the youth was killed after being robbed or belonged to some Naga Political Groups.
The body has been kept at district Hospital morgue for identification.
