Hono Hankvu village gate inaugurated

Hono Hankvu village gate constructed under MGNREGA Scheme 2015-16 was inaugurated by deputy commissioner, Wokha, Wezope Kenye as the chief guest on March 11. 
A press note by Hono Hankvu village chairman, Mhathung Ovung and VDB secretary Mhonbemo Ovung stated that during the inaugural, chief guest applauded the VDB secretary and people of Hono Hankvu for utilizing the amount of money sanctioned to complete the village gate successfully. 
Asking the villagers to let the gate represent love and unity, Wezope also encouraged them to follow and preserve the rich heritage of fore-fathers.  The DC also exhorted villagers that “unity and hard work is the pillar of development” while also asking the leaders and village functionaries to be without any bias for a better future. 
Guest of honour, project director DRDA Wokha, Thungdeno Mozhui, highlighted the departmental schemes and policies. She said that time had come for awakening as the “survival of the fittest” or transitional period had started. She added that “whoever cautiously implements and follow government policy, rules and procedure shall be blessed”. 
BDO Wokha, Thungbeni Ngullie acknowledged the villagers to do better work in future. SDO electrical, Albert Ovung also spoke on the emergence of the village.  Other officials who attended the programme included K. Thavaseelan ADC Hq-II, Tsutsowe Kupa EAC Hq, Nlumsao Ovung PA to DC, Dr. Robin Mozhui MS Wokha, BDO Wozhuro, BDO Wokha, SDO electrical and sr. scientist, Dr. Thungdemo Ovung from London.
The gate was dedicated by Pastor Nchubomo Ovung, the programme was chaired by Mhathung Ovung and vote of thanks was delivered by Mhonbemo Ovung.
