To bid farewell to NE students leaving Mangalaru and also to felicitate meritorious students, the North East People’s Association Mangaluru (NEPAM) organized its 5th Annual Parting Social-cum-Felicitation programme on March 5 at St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru.
During the function, double gold medalist for excellence in the field of History from Mangalore University, Keneiseno Uneino Neihu, was felicitated with cash and certificate by NEPAM.
NEPAM president Kaini Cecilia and principal of K. Pandyarajah Ballal College of Nursing, Ullal, Mangaluru, led in congratulating Keneiseno Uneino Neihu who hails from Nagaland. In her speech, Keneiseno attributed her success to hard work and dedication adding that her achievement should be a motivation to all the Northeast students in Mangalore.
She dedicated the achievement to her mother who, she said, always supports her decisions and also to NEPAM.
Students who secured distinction in previous examination were also felicitated.
Earlier, John Lalmuanawma, vice president NEPAM welcomed the gathering.
Songs and dance performed by young talented artist were the highlights of the function. New executive members for the year 2017-2018 were also elected on the occasion.
The programme concluded with words of gratitude from Sr. Daina UFS, general secretary of NEPAM.
