Mekokla Students’ Union (MSU) office-cum-library hall constructed by VDB under Grant in-Aid was inaugurated by project director, DRDA Wokha, Thungdeno Mozhui on March 6 as chief guest.
Delivering a speech, Thungdeno urged the students to abide by their elders and pursue their studies to excel. She also highlighted the schemes and projects that were being undertaken by the department in the district.
The building was dedicated by Mekokla Baptist Church Pastor, A. Yiremo Murry, greetings by Head GB Phyokhamo Ezung, short speeches were delivered by Wokha district VDB Association president, Bichamo Shitiri, BDO Changpang RD Block Mhabemo Humtsoe, ex-president MSU Abemo Kikon and Benrithung Y Kikon.
The programme was chaired by VDB secretary Mekokla Village Manthungo Kikon and folk song was presented by Juli Tekhvu.
