A team of doctors led by CMO Kiphire Dr C.T Patton, deputy CMO Dr Tinurenla, Dr Khelito DTO, Dr H.T Sangtam pathologist, Dr Kevi Chucha M.O DH Kiphire, Dr. Chukhuse M.O Amahator, Dr Chelo Koza M.O Pungro, Dr Veku dentist Pungro, Dr Mowalong physiotherapist Kiphire, Setsao BEE and NHM team organized a Healthy Lifestyle Camp at Pungro CHC.
The camp was aimed at promotion, prevention of risks factors and screening for Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs), so that the community could adopt healthy lifestyles.
A painting competition among school students of Pungro, promoting healthy lifestyle was held a day prior to the health camp on March 3. On March 4 a Walkathon in the morning was organized designed for public awareness.
The Walkathon was flagged off by CMO Kiphire, Dr. C.T Patton. Prizes for first and second winners were given out for the painting competition and Walkathon.
A total of 205 clients were screened for diabetes, hypertension, chronic heart diseases and 28 clients were provided physiotherapy.
