With the expiry of the deadline for the Board of Arbitrators (BOA) to resolve the Kezoltsa/Koziirii/Kazing dispute, the executive council of Tenyimi Peoples’ Organisation (TPO) has felt the need to extend the time frame for another six months, which would be placed for endorsement in the presidential council meeting scheduled to be held on February 11, 2017.
In a press release, TPO president, Timikha Koza, and general secretary, Vipopal Kintso, said this was discussed at TPO executive council meeting held on January 24, 2017 at the residence of TPO president.
The meeting deliberated on the issue and viewed that although the BOA has been taking up the issue with all seriousness and sincerity the pace toward resolution of the matter encountered certain setbacks owing to unforeseen circumstances and situation. The executive council also decided to convene TPO presidential council meeting on February 11, 2017 at Senapati and requested attendance of at least five members from each constituent units.
With regard to Dikoi and Tolazouma issue, the meeting decided to take-up the issue with concern authority(s), tribes Hohos and organisations so as to bring it to an amicable logical conclusion.
