Shops closure in Dimapur deferred

December 27, 2008 | by admin

Following a request from the police and also in view of former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s visit to the state, the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce (DCC) has deferred its decision for closure of shops and business establishments in Dimapur on December 27. The decision was arrived at during a DCC meeting held Friday. The shops closure was called by the DCC after the Personal Security Officer (PSO) of the state health and family welfare minister allegedly assaulted a businessman on December 20. The DCC however kept its decision pending regarding the demand on the apology from the PSO. The meeting also decided not to withdraw the FIR lodged against the PSO.
