Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has lauded the firm resolution taken by the new team of Sumi Hoho on the adoption of non-Naga child. In a press statement, CNTC media cell said that the resolution of the Sumi Hoho was with an objective to preserve and safeguard the rich Sumi cultures and traditions in the days to come. Therefore, CNTC said denying Sumi names to the adopted non-Naga children was “much appreciated”.
CNTC also congratulated the new team of Sumi Hoho under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Vihuto Assumi as president and Hotoshe Awomi as general secretary for the session 2024-27.
The council further said that as the new team of Sumi Hoho “gets down to work for the challenging tasks”, it look forward to work together to fulfill the common objectives of fraternity, solidarity and unity. CNTC further conveyed best wishes to the outgoing officials of Sumi Hoho led by Nikheto Jimomi in their endeavor.
