PDLSA hands interim compensation

Peren District Legal Services Authority (PDLSA) has handed an interim compensation of Rs. 1 lakh to a sexual victim on August 14. According to Chief Judicial Magistrate/ secretary DLSA Peren, Wonchibeni V Patton, the compensation was handed over to the victim’s sister. Panel lawyer for PDLSA, Kewithinwang represented the victim applied for interim compensation under section 357A of the Code of Criminal Procedure which was duly considered by the secretary PDLSA. The interim compensation was awarded to meet the immediate medical and rehabilitation needs of the victim under The Nagaland victim compensation Scheme 2012.
