EGoN and Miss Dimapur winners 2023 team visit Prodigal’s Home

Miss Dimapur 2023 led by the winner miss Ilihika Aye, Chumie Phome 2nd runner-up under the mentor and leadership of Ethnic Group of Nagaland (EGoN) president Ledia Awomi, visited the Prodigal’s Home and Youth Rehabilitation Center on September 3.


The beauty pageant winners shared their valuable time with the orphanage children and youths undergoing de-addiction treatment or care in the rehab centre. The youths who were also willing to quit drug addictions expressed their happiness over the visit of Miss Dimapur team.


The Miss Dimapur winners and EGoN president also shared about their life and struggles to the youths admitted in the rehab centre. The youths from the centre also shared about their future plans after quitting drugs while sharing how they fall prey to the drug addictions.


The Miss Dimapur winner also advised the youths to be positive and prayed that the youths should come out victorious from the addictions to live a normal life like others.


As per the need expressed by the inmates of the centre, the team Miss Dimapur donated daily necessities like rice and ration and also sports amenities like carrom, badminton rackets etc, for the youths through the director of the head of the Prodigal’s Home de-addiction centre Dimapur.

The team thanked its pillar of support to their team of advisors Ani Yepthomi, Deepika Hukato Naga and Dr Lika Kikheto Yeptho, for their financial support, resources and guidance where this social cause has been a success.
