Election Observer visits Mokokchung

Election Observer T.A. Parthasarathy (IAS), who will observe the entire election exercise in Mokokchung, Zunheboto and Longleng districts arrived in Mokokchung on March 29 to kick start his election duty as observer. Parthasarathy, an IAS officer of 1999 batch, Karnataka state, visited Zunheboto district Headquarter on Wednesday. During his stay at Zunheboto, the observer met the D.C and Assistant Returning Officer, S.P. and other Commanding officers of para military forces and held wide ranging discussions on issues relating to conduct of 15th Lok Sabha election in the district.
The observer, who is stationed at Mokokchung town will leave for Longleng on April 3 to undertake his exercise with district authorities and police officials. He will also meet various political leaders.
Meanwhile, election campaign in Mokokchung district has slowly picked up with senior leaders of various political parties organizing election campaign meeting at different places and villages with no untoward incident at any place.
