In a move to curb running of illegal video parlours and screening of pornographic movies, East police station personnel, on Saturday, raided carious video parlours in and around Eros lane and New Market and arrested five persons.
Five video parlours were found screening pornographic movies.
The five arrested include Ajizul Islam (19) and Kumar Chettri (19) of S K Video hall, Manoj Prasad (28) and Mithu (25) from Eros Lane and Kalu Dey (24) from a video hall, New Market.
The police also seized TVs, stabilizers, remote and DVD players (five each) and 35 pornographic CDs.
All the five accused have been remanded under police custody.
