NCPF urge NU for no back logs

Nagaland College Principals’ Forum (NCPF) held its annual conference on August 19 at Patkai Christian College and resolved to urge Nagaland University (NU) to do away with the back log system in degree examinations and introduce semester system in compliance with the UGC guidelines.
The meeting resolved to urge Nagaland University (NU) to introduce physical education as one of the elective subjects in degree courses and to conduct workshops on evaluation and marking system for university and college teachers under NU.
The forum also decided in principle to have seminars, workshops and sports meet for principals annually. It also requested state higher education director to communicate all the principals not only through press/media but through formal/official letters in near future.
NAAC assessment was also deliberated during the conference and members appealed to Nagaland University (NU) authorities to grant permanent affiliation to all colleges under NU at the earliest.
NCPF also elected new office bearers with Tetso college Dimapur principal Dr. P.S. Lorin as president and Kohima Science college Jotsoma principal Dr. Vituo Belho as secretary.
