NIIT, the leading Global Talent Development Corporation, has once again been conferred the ‘Top Training Company Award 2008’ from country’s leading ICT publication group Cybermedia, the publisher’s of Dataquest.
Established in 1981, to help the nascent IT industry overcome its human resource challenges, NIIT has today grown to be amongst world’s leading talent development companies.
NIIT CEO Vijay K Thadani received the trophy at the award function organized by Cybermedia group, in the capital recently.
NIIT received the award for its talent development initiatives across the world, in the year 2007-08. In its annual IT industry survey, Dataquest reported that NIIT had further strengthened its leadership position in the Indian IT training industry and is now almost double the size of combined revenues of the next 4 players put together with revenues of Rs. 1006.8 Cr, up 27% YoY in FY 2007-08. According to the report, the Indian IT training industry reported a growth of 31% logging in total revenues of Rs 2,804 crore in 2007-08. Past trends and the continuing need for skilled talent indicate that the sector will remain on a growth trajectory.
