ATAN responds

May 17, 2010 | by admin

Reacting to a news item that appeared in local dailies on May 13, Aggrieved Teachers’ Association of Nagaland (ATAN) has issued a rejoinder to the director and DIG Vigilance stating that there were sufficient circumstantial as well as direct evidence to substantiate its allegations. ATAN working president, Yetoho and secretary, Yanger have submitted a list of “anomalies” detected in the genuine list of the SIT report. Stating that it had no legal authority to carry on further investigation on the matter, ATAN has appealed to the government to constitute an investigating committee to probe “serious misdeeds” of SIT officials.
