Lt. Gen P. Mohapatra on state visit

Lt. Gen P Mohapatra, AVSM, ADC, Signals Officer-in-Chief and Senior Colonel Commandant of Corps of Signals is on visit to state of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh from June 7 to 10. An alumnus of NDA and DSSC, general officer has had an illustrious career spanning over three decades and tenanted some very prestigious command and Staff appointments. He has served with great distinction in ‘Operation Parakram’ and has served in Nagaland and J&K during his tour of duty.
He held the coveted appointment of additional director general of signal intelligence and assistant chief of Integrated Defence Staff till July 2008 before taking over as present appointment.
During his visit Signal Officer-in-Chief met Lt Gen NK Singh, AVSM, VSM general officer commanding, 3 Corps and other formation commanders. The General officer also visited local signal units in the military station and reviewed the operational preparedness and efficacy of military communication infrastructure in the corps zone.
