Career guidance seminar in Mkg

Mokokchung Village Students’ Union on Saturday conducted a one day career guidance seminar at village community hall.
The seminar was attended by around 500 students with Akok Walling, Lect. Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung as resource person.
The resource person covered a wide area of his presentation wherein he stated that there was no justification for the people to talk about unemployment problems in the state as according to him, there were about 54,000 non-locals engaged in private sector in three major towns of the state (Mokokchung – Dimapur – Kohima) with an estimated earning of Rs. 450 crore annually.
He also added that there were many students who after completing their studies returns just as a “mechanical or robotic”.
He said students should start focusing on skill and value based education rather than just focusing on getting good marks during exam.
