Western Sumi Kukami Hoho has appealed the power department not to entertain anyone claiming wages and other benefits towards execution and implementation of RGGVY electrification project without the consent and knowledge of the village authorities/head GBs of R. Hovishe, Nikihe, Izhevi, Tohokhu and Khutovi villages under Niuland sub-division. In a separate statement, head GBs of the five villages expressed heartfelt gratitude to the executive engineer Chumukedima and JE Niuland for effective implementation and execution of RGGVY project towards electrification in co-operation with the villagers. The GBs said that the villagers heartily extended their helping hands in executing the works and that they were not expecting any wages or other benefits from the power department. They said that the project was a boon to the five villages which would be getting electric connection. Further, the GBs also said that any individual claiming wages or other benefits from the power department in the name of the five villages were “purely fictitious and without our knowledge and consent.”
