To express displeasure over state government inaction in arresting the culprits of May 27 assassination attempt. M. Imtila Jamir, the joint action committee (JAC) of the Ao Senden has called for a 12-hour Mokokchung district bandh June 30, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. A statement issued by JAC convener Impa Longkumer has appealed to the general public, especially Ao community, to cooperate towards the success of the bandh. The Ao Senden JAC has also urged other communities and districts, which would be directly affected by the bandh, to bear with the inconveniences. Meanwhile, the JAC said district administration, police, para-military forces and doctors and nurses attending to hospital duties, would be exempted from the purview of the proposed bandh.
