Anghs, chairman, head GB under 44 Phomching A/C resign

DIMAPUR: Anghs and council chairman/ head GB of three villages of 44 Phomching A/C under Mon district on April 2 resigned from the Congress and also withdrew their support from MLA Kongam.
According to B. P. Hanghuh Konyak, central general secretary, I/ C Mon division, NPF, the resigned Congress members included Chief Angh Pohwang and Council Chairman of Longzang, Chief Angh of Pukha, Nokmao, Chief Angh of Wetting, Alung. Along with the Chief Angh, Council Chairmen/ HD GB, where the whole villagers resolved to support chief minister Neiphiu Rio, and party president Dr. Shurhozelie in the 2013 election.
At a meeting held at NPF Mon division office on April 2 with Apong Pongener working President, B. P. Hanghuh Konyak general secretary in-charge Mon division, Tingtok president Mon division and a host of Mon division NPF leaders declared to firmly support the undisputed leadership of Rio.
