Training organized to improve earning capacity of farmers

One-day training cum capacity building of farmers was conducted on March 5 at Porba village under Pfutsero block, Phek district.

The programme was mainly conducted to enhance the capacity of farmers in various aspects of agricultural practices.

The programme was graced by resource persons from agri & allied departments viz. fishery, horticulture, soil and water conservation & KVK.

The major component of the training was field demonstration on vermicompost (a technique of generating organic manure through natural means with the help of earthworm).

Another important development of the day was initiation of plum farm school at Sheikhozo’s farm located at kukilu in Porba village. More than 75 farmers from Pfutsero block attended the training programme.
