Continuing its endeavors towards the upliftment of locals and as part of ongoing civic action programme undertaken by Assam Rifles in Mon district, the 6 Assam Rifles presented five solar lights at Zangkham village.
The junior commissioned officer at the presentation ceremony informed the gathering that Assam Rifles was committed to social upliftment of the local population with regard to infrastruce and human development.
The presentation ceremony was attended by civil administration including village Angh, GBs, chairman of Zangkham village.
The villagers appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles and requested for more such projects to be undertaken in future.
Meanwhile, under the civic action programme undertaken by Assam Rifles, Commandant 6 Assam Rifles presented computers to Governmentt School, Namsa village.
Speaking on the occasion, the commandant emphasized on the importance of computer in the modern era of interactive learning and benefits gained by computers. He reiterated that Assam Rifles was committed towards progress of school going children.
