Aashray Dergaon Nature Organisation under the banner of “provide shelter for needy” held a tulsi plantation award distribution ceremony at Raj Bhavan Kohima on December 12 in the presence of governor P. B. Acharya.
Governor of Nagaland P.B.Acharya encouraged the Aashray Dergaon Nature
Organisation Assam to spread more information about the medicine knowledge of healthcare for the people. He also urged them to have good relation with their neighboring state.
Aashray Dergaon Nature Organisation stated that, tulsi plantation contest was held in all Assam level with 516 participants held on October 18. And in the Top three positions were begged by Mon Rajguru Pujabari of Majuli. Jyotiprova Das Saikia and Nayanmoni Bora bagged the Patanjali Arybhatta Sushruta award respectively.
They also informed that, Tulsi was planted for religious and medicine purposes and for its essential oil. They had started planting contest from 2014 at local level for the first time. In the year 2015, governor P. B. Acharya had expressed his interest on tulsi plantation and instituted three awards like Saint and Yog Guru Patanjali Award, Astromer Arybhatta Award and Ayurvedic Surgeon Sushruta Award with a Cash prize of Rs. 5000, Rs. 3000, and Rs. 2000 with citation respectively by governor at Raj Bhavan Guwahati.
