DC Mokokchung expresses gratitude

Deputy Commissioner and district election officer, Mokokchung, Murohu Chotso has expressed gratitude to all officers and staff for their sincere work during the just concluded Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2013 election.

Addressing the district planning and development board (DPDB) meeting held at DC’s conference hall on March 7, Murohu Chotso said there were no major election-related violence, no casualties except few incidents and polling held peacefully in the entire district.

To this, he gave credit to the dedicated collective efforts of all officers and staff particularly security forces involved in the democratic exercise.

Further, a picnic will be organized at Chungtia Yimsen on March 8 and DC has invited all heads of department and staff involved in the election to join the picnic.

Earlier, district immunization officer (DIO) Dr. Limatula sought the cooperation of all head of departments in the district to actively involve at the second round of intensive pulse polio immunization program, scheduled for March 10.

She appealed to the district administration to extend logistic support to make the program a success.

DIO also enlightened the members in the meeting about various health care schemes which are in the offing for implementation in the district.
