Customers of the State Bank of India (SBI) Lerie branch Kohima exchanged heated words with the bank officials on Tuesday for not entertaining the customers after 2.30 p.m.
The altercation reportedly started when bank security personnel refused entry to the customers asking asked them to return on Wednesday. The irate customers, around 30-40 of them, demanded to be let in as transaction time was till 4 p.m. However when the security personnel refused, the customers asked for the branch manager who came and asked them to return the next day.
The manager couldn’t respond and went inside when the customers demanded to know as to why the office should not entertain them at 2.30 p.m.
Some customers complained that even students and senior citizens were not allowed to enter despite repeated requests.
