Governor of Nagaland, Dr. Ashwani Kumar and his wife paid a visit to Aneile Kenye, who has been undergoing treatment in ICU of Naga Hospital, Kohima since August 2009. The Governor visited Kenye, wife of Oken Jeet Sandham, a senior journalist and editor of North East Press Service (NEPS) to enquire on the progress of her health condition.
ICU in-charge Dr. Sendimeren briefed the Governor on the medical history and how she was recovering since her admission in the ICU. Meanwhile, the Governor also visited other patients in the ICU and wished them all a speedy recovery.
Managing director, Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHKA), Dr. Vikeyie Losu, Dr. Neikhrielie, MS, NHAK, and other senior doctors of the hospital accompanied the Governor while visiting Kenye. Earlier the Governor also underwent an eye check up in the hospital. It may be mentioned that Kenye underwent operation at Guwahati Neurological Research Center (GNRC) after she was diagnosed with “brain tumor (meningioma)” on July 4, 2009.
