Workshop on digitalization, management underway

A two- day workshop on digitalisation and its management for NE state, organized by Photo Division ministry of information & broadcasting kick started on April 11, held at Indian Institute of Bank Management Conference Hall, Guwahati.
Minister IPR Baranda Das Jee while addressing the gathering, explained the importance of preservation of photography, and added that once the photo was spoiled or lost, it would be difficult to retrieve, so the importance of photo preservation as a proof of evidence for the future generation is important, reported an official bulletin. 
GoI is providing digitalization to all NE states, he said and added that through photo journalism and other new technologies, the tourism department in Northeast was growing rapidly. He expressed hoped that such workshop would benefit all the NE states.
“The value of photo is becoming important, therefore it is the responsibility of every photographer to understand the role of a photographer”, he said. 
IPR department from Nagaland was led by deputy director Tokishe Sema, news assistant Temjenkaba, camera man Seto Angami and freelancer Merimvu Doulo.
Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by Ranjit Gogoi, director IPR, government of Assam.  A brief report of the workshop was delivered by Debatosh Sengupta director, photo division GoI.
