Directorate of art & culture informs artists

The newly constructed multi-purpose cultural complex at Tenyiphe-1 under Dimapur district will be formally inaugurated by E. E. Panteang, minister for tourism, art & culture and election, sometime towards the end of May.

To mark the occasion, there will be presentations of lively cultural performances and a mega art exhibition by artists from all tribes of Nagaland.

Interested artists (painters) above 20 years of age can submit works to the directorate of art & culture (art wing), Kohima or the district cultural offices in the districts during office hours on or before May 15, for the exhibition, state directorate of art & culture, Kohima.

Depending on availability of space, a screening committee would select the exhibits for display. Every artist whose work is selected for display shall be acknowledged with a token of appreciation and a certificate from the department, added the directorate.
