Whitney Houston’s former husband Bobby Brown, who was sentenced to 55-days of imprisonment, walked out of the prison after serving just nine hours.
The 44-year-old singer had checked into Los Angeles County Jail at 9:58 am on Wednesday but was released at 6:58 pm, TMZ.com.
An L.A. County Sheriff’s spokesperson had earlier said that Brown would be serving just 9 days out of his 55-day sentence in jail.
Brown had been arrested in October after he drove erratically on a Los Angeles street. He had pled no contest to DUI and driving on a suspended license; it was his second DUI arrest in 7 months. Brown currently is on 4 years probation and has to attend alcohol education classes for 18 months.
