New MCA projects at Mishilimi village

Army and Assam Rifles continuing with its relentless efforts in improving the face of rural Nagaland, another multiple MCA projects was formally inaugurated Tuesday by Brig. Bhupinder Singh, Dy.IGAR (N) at Mishilimi village under Pughoboto Sub-division, Zunheboto.
Addressing villagers at Mishilimi local ground after inaugurating the projects comprising of water supply scheme for the entire area, computer centre and a community hall, Brig. Singh said the project was one of the largest MCA project undertaken in the state by Army at a cost of Rs.16 lakh. He was of the view that the projects would benefit the people who were left out by civic organizations.
Expressing confidence that village would serve as a centre of excellence in times to come and project itself as a role model for others to follow, Brig. Singh said the community hall was dedicated towards constructive social activities of the village while computer centre, equipped with five computer sets and peripherals for youths to enable them to move ahead in future.
In regard to water supply scheme, which was integrated with water pump, Brigadier said it would go a long way as far as drinking water and supply were concerned, as two tanks (20,000 litres) were installed to fulfill the long cherished dream of villagers to find water at their doorstep. The entire work was executed by 51 Engineering Regiment.
The function was attended by additional district and session judge, Dimapur, Veprasa Nyekha; EAC; SDPO and DIS, Pugoboto, Boshi T. Vamuzo, president, Operation Dawn International, Nagaland Branch, village council members and military officials, village elders and host of local populace.
Earlier the programme started with an invocation prayer by MYBC pastor, Atovi, welcome address was delivered by Toniho Sheqi.
Highlighting the development of MCA project village council chairman, Tokiye Wotsa expressed gratitude to additional district and session judge, Dimapur, Veprasa Nyekha and MCA 3 Corps.
It may be mentioned that Mishilimi village is the second biggest village under Pughoboto Sub-Division and also the second biggest village amongst Sumi villages.
