24 females detained

Personnel of Women Cell, Dimapur, Saturday arrested 24 females for allegedly collecting money from houses in different localities of the town.
According to women cell OC, the females mostly from Rajasthan and other neighbouring states of the northeast scattered themselves in different localities soliciting donations in cash. They used a written note that stated they had lost their homes and properties to natural calamities. Police also said some of the women from the same group were arrested in December last, but were later deported after reprimanding them.
Police urged the people to be aware of such activities and not to be fooled by such pleas.
All the arrested women are under the custody of women cell.
