A stand-off between the NSCN (I-M) and “Rashtriya Rifle” was averted Sunday near Dhansiripar River due to timely intervention of the Ceasefire Monitoring Group (CFMG) chairman Lt, Gen Mandhata Singh. Sources in the NSCN (I-M) said forces of the Rashtriya Rifle approached some 300 to 400 meter close to their Hebron camp along the Dhansiripar River.According to sources, CFMG chairman arrived at the spot at around 2:30 pm and urged the forces of the Rashtriya Rifle to withdraw from their position.
