Angami Baptist Church Diphupar (ABCD) (Chato-uphe) celebrated its golden jubilee on Friday with unveiling of the jubilee monolith by senior pastor, Khedi Baptist church Reverend Viwelie Khezie.
The theme of the jubilee was “The glory of God has risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1”.
Around 25 churches and more than 200 delegates attended the celebration.
The Angami Baptist Church Diphupar (Chato-uphe) started in 1959 by late Ngulhou Metha, an evangelist who gathered the villagers and held a prayer under a tree at ‘Pani tanki’, the Angami Baptist church was formed with late Pfusa Metha as its first pastor.
The jubilee opened with a song and choreography by Sunday school children and the speaker was evangelist at large ABCC Reverend Ketsozeho Sale spoke on the jubilee theme, “The glory of God has risen upon you.”
Choirs from BKK Chatouphe, BKK Chiechama and BKK BMC presented special songs.
