Parliamentary secretary for irrigation and flood control, geology and mining and border affairs Y. Patton said there should be no compromise on the quality of irrigation projects for the development of state. Patton was on inspection to some of the ongoing irrigation projects under Dimapur and Peren districts on January 23 along with officials of irrigation department at M.I projects at Awokupughoki at Ghokito, Chathe at Chumukedima, Dzumha at Jarnapani, Khova at Shoxuvi and Langlong at Zutovi. To benefit the people of the project areas, Patton assured to extend help for completing the project in time. He was accompanied by MLA-cum- advisor L. Temjen Jamir, additional chief engineer I and FC ErT. Yanger and Er, Njilo Kemp S.E I& FC.
