Meet on 33% quota

The Nagaland State Women Commission has convened a meeting of all women organizations, women wings of all political parties and women activists to deliberate on the issue of 108th Constitutional (Amendment Bill) 2008 on 33% reservation for women and generate a clear opinion on the same at the Administrative Training Institute, Kohima at 4 pm on February 13. The commission has invited all concerned to attend the meeting without fail.
It may be mentioned that the NSWC had rapped the recently held consultative meeting of all political parties and NGOs on 33% reservation for women convened by the All Political Party Consultative Committee for not inviting the commission and also the Naga Mothers Association and women wings of the political parties.
It also urged the state government to keep in abeyance the resolution adopted in the meeting until the commission conveys the “clear decision” of women after consultation.
