Longkong GPS gets new building

The new building of Government Primary School (GPS), Longkong, was formally inaugurated by K.J.Lohe, State Project Director, SMA (S.S.A), Nagaland, on February 11.
In his brief speech, the state project director lauded the villagers for constructing more than 10 (ten) rooms out of the two rooms construction allotted by SSA under Civil Works Scheme (CWS), which is one of the best school building in the state which he said is the result of communitization.
He urged the community to be involved more in activities taken up under SSA at the same time encouraged the teachers to apply new pedagogy in their teaching which is child friendly and child centered.
The SPD also visited Chakpa, Pangsang, Yaongyimti Old and Yaongyimti New, and held interactions with the teachers, council members and other leaders of the community. He was accompanied by DEO, DIS, Mokokchung, and other departmental functionaries.
