Resigned Cong MLAs join NPF

Former MLAs and PCC members, Kejong Chang and Aloh have said in a statement that they resigned from primary and active membership of Congress party to join NPF and strengthen the leadership of state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio and NPF president, Dr. Shürhozelie.
NPF Tuensang division in a separate press note has lauded the decision of MLA from Tuensang sadar-II Kejong Chang of resigning from Congress party as well as his membership from legislative assembly. NPF Tuensang said it has welcomed him to the party.
Meanwhile, in another press statement former candidate, Tuensang sadar-I, Elam Chang said the resignation of Congress MLA, Kejong Chang could be an immense boost to NPF.
Former candidate also lauded Kejong Chang for taking “right decision” of joining the regional party with an intention to bring more developmental initiatives to Tuensang.
He assured that NPF party Tuensang would work with him in tandem with co-operation under the leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio and NPF president, Dr Shürhozelie.
NPF Dimapur has in a release issued by secretary to Rajya Sabha MP, Timir Choudhury also said that resignation of veteran congress legislators including Kejong Chang and Aloh from the 11th Nagaland Legislative Assembly was a sign of ‘crumbling house’ of the congress party in the state.
The release also added that Rajya Sabha MP, H. Khekiho Zhimomi, when contacted over phone said he welcomed both the former congress leaders under the NPF fold and has also expressed hoped that under the new dispensation they would be able to work for the interest of the Nagas and their areas respectively.
