NSCN (I-M) disclaims threat

March 17, 2009 | by admin

Clarifying to threats purportedly issued by the Naga national workers to some members of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the bogus appointment of teachers, the NSCN (I-M) Monday said that this was done without the knowledge of the government and on individual interest.
The NSCN (I-M) however assured it would take corrective measures so that similar acts were not repeated in the future.
The MIP/GPRN press release also appreciated the NSF for “ courageously exposing the involvement of Naga national workers in issuing the threats”.
It also lauded the role of the NSF in eradicating the malpractices in the day to day functioning and further encouraged the Federation to be vigilant so as to “bring about transformative changes in Naga society.”
Further it also vowed that the “NSCN/GPRN shall never stand in the way whenever such noble endeavour is carried on.”
The NSCN (I-M) also assured its support and urged the NSF to continue with their mission.
