AR organizes educational tour

Education tour for Delhi – Dehradun – Manipur was flagged on March 27 by commandant, 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR (South).
A group of 25 school children including 12 girls from YKPI, Sagolmang, Litan, Nungdam Kuki, Ukhrul and Shangshak village, accompanied by two teachers participated in this tour.
During the tour children visited Loktak lake at Imphal, War Cemetery at Kohima, Rail Museum, Dilli Haat, Rajpath, President House, India Gate, Ansal Plaza, Cannaught Place, Metro Rail, Lotus Temple, Raj Ghaat, Lal Quila, PVR Cinema, Delhi University at Delhi, Forest Research Institute and Buddha Temple at Dehradun.
According to a defense release the team also got an opportunity to interact with union chief minister Sheela Dixit, DG NCC Lt Gen R K Karwal, SM*, VSM, Principal Kirori Mal College Delhi University, Brig Niresh Rathore, Commander 116 Infantry Brigade. The children also visited Indian Military Academy, Dehradun and saw the reputed establishment closely. They were also presented gifts by Britannia, DG NCC and chief minister Delhi. The children expressed their gratitude and joy on having been a part of this tour and stated that the tour was learning and an enjoyable experience.
